Philipp Spitzer graduated from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) with a bachelor's and master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management. As part of his master's degree he worked as a research assistant at the Energy Production and Innovation Center at University of North Carolina in Charlotte, USA. In 2019, Philipp started to work for Fujitsu as a Data Scientist, where he focused his work on applying his machine learning skills in real-world scenarios to optimize production sites. After almost two and a half years working for Fujitsu, Philipp returned to KIT joining the research group Digital Service Innovation (DSI). In DSI, he is striving within the Applied AI in Services team towards his PhD in cooperation with Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Germany GmbH.
